Liquid latex is used on the skin surrounding the nail, not for use on the nail at any point. Stripes are done with a striping brush, or striping tape. Here is a “do’s and don’t’s” video. ❤️ https://youtu.be/zTukQBTmVi8?si=z5cdxUv6pc84ZoMS

You need to peel off the latex while the polish is still wet. Unlike regular paint that just flakes when you peel off tape or latex, nail polish has some flexibility and give, so if you wait for it to dry before peeling its gonna rip up like this. Peeling while its still wet will give you those nice crisp lines bc it’ll only pull off the stuff that’s masked off instead of having the dry polish pull on itself and rip apart.
Also, idk about if you’re using gel, but if you’re using lacquer you need to put a top coat on the base colour BEFORE you put on the latex, otherwise it’s gonna stick to the latex and also pull and rip up, like what you see in the second red stripe from the top. The top coat will give you that harder shell that wont move or stick to anything and protect your base.
