So this turned out to be a bit more "impressionist" than I meant it to. On the non-accents, I kind of experimented with something new (dropping in some brown jelly while still wet and being velvetised inside the 30 lb horseshoe). On the accent, I did a 2 step nail stamping which went horribly wrong, but we ain't wasting polish in this house if there's a glimmer of hope for saving it – hence some freehanding over it to salvage.

All that is to say… This mani was meant to depict an autumnal birch forest. The non-accents are supposed to resemble yellow foliage with brown falling leaves and the accent was meant to be birch trees…

Would you have guessed?

My boyfriend said it looks like a bomb, exploding. ❤️‍🩹 Anyway, I guess, no matter what it looks like, I guess I'll just settle for pretty, even if it is a wee… abstract and up for interpretation 🤷‍♀️😀

  1. I don’t know that I would guess the specifics, there is something fiery to them, but definitely autumnal too. Either way they’re really beautiful

Your inspiration was clear to me, but it’s my favorite season and those are some of my favorite trees.

Well done. Gorgeous in my book.

I definitely knew it was a >! Autumn forest but I wouldn’t have gotten the specific type of forest!<
