Hello everyone.

I am 34F and I have been budding in my interest of doing DIY nails. I’ve never been a nail person myself due to the career choices that I have and based off of personal choice as well.

I’ve worked in kitchens, customer service, and now I work at an airport. Along with absolutely loving to cook, keeping my nails clean and short as possible has always been my goal and now it’s just my nails how they looks like for the past three years, on and off with the occasional regular nail polish. I’ve only really enjoyed doing my nails with regular nail polish, nothing too fancy. I have only gotten acrylics twice in my life. I have had press on nails before.

Today, I am looking to go into the world of nail art. I love to paint, I am an artist, and I am very artistic and creative, but when I tell you that painting with nails is definitely different than painting with a regular paintbrush with so much canvas, it’s definitely humbling.

This is so fun, and I definitely do see a small future in this for DIY. I would like to learn how to do press on nail sets and possibly sell them.

Glad to be on the sub, thanks for looking at my beginning the journey😅

Also, just wanted to add as of right now, I’m only my left hand for nail art/nail polish practice.

I have a baby girl that sporadically goes to sleep or wakes up so I want my nails to be completely clean and taken off fast so I just do all of this with regular nail polish
