So, among the older brands Guerlain is my favorite. I swear by their foundations, meteorites and their bronzers. But lately they seem to have lost their way in beauty (and perfumes?).

I just saw the Hermes holiday "palette" (Hermès Beauty Poudre Rocaval Palette) and it reminded me of the limited edition holiday bronzers that Guerlain used to release (and I used to buy every year). TBF, I liked the packaging of last year's Regarde Moi palette, but the colors inside were.. unusual at best.

Am I wrong in thinking Guerlain isn't as creative as it used to be? Do people still like Guerlain?

I'm repurchasing my favorite Guerlain foundation (Terracotta Le teint) during the Rouge sale and I hope the quality hasn't deteriorated. And I wish their lipsticks didn't contain BHT.

  1. Last two good Guerlain limited editions were the Crazy Horse one and Liu, it’s been bad since then

  2. The way I see Guerlain is like a legacy brand, kinda like Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc. I dont expect fancy, creative new releases from them, and I think they are feeling the same way by just sticking to what they know they’re good at rather than releasing lots of LE collections or new things. I havent shopped from them in ages but I do think their main profits are from their perfumes. They definitely havent lost their way with their perfumes!!
