So this is Week 2 of me going through all the polishes i bought from Mooncat’s Danse Macarbe collection. This week I decided to try Clair de Lune and when I tell you I love it! So first off, the color is very pretty. When the color is magnetized, you definitely see the metallic lavender. And the base color is more of a mauve purple. But together they compliment each other beautifully.

In terms of application, the polish went on so smoothly. The formula is buttery smooth and really easy to apply. It’s pretty opaque but definitely needs two coats for that full opacity. It also is not streaky so you can apply thin coats without worry. The first picture is with just one coat and the second picture is with two coats and a top coat so you can really see the difference!

I really love the magnetic effect in this polish as well. I decided to velvetize some nails and use the rectangular magnet as well. I magnetized at each layer but the effect when using the rectangular magnet was very sharp after i applied the top coat. But this morning the effect definitely dispersed and ended up looking very pretty.

So far I am very pleased with this collection and i think this manicure is just so pretty! I also love the mix of the different magnetic effects/styles. I’ve never done that before but i think it’s so fresh and stylish.

For this mani i used Sally Hansen’s growth base coat, mooncats hardcore base coat, clair de lune by mooncat, and Holo Taco’s Glossy Top Coat.

Beautiful! I’d be in trouble for this one if I wasn’t too lazy for magnetics. What all did you get from the collection? I really want to see Doppelganger, especially on your nail length.
