Silvery Goodness

So Mooncat released their Danse Macarbe Collection on Friday and I really really loved some of the polishes in the collection so I bought some. I know many people have been underwhelmed with some of Mooncat’s collections recently and I also fall in that category. But this collection really stuck out to me so I bought 5 out of the 7 polished. They delivered today and I decided to take off my Sunday mani and used one of the new polishes.

This is Pearl Clutcher by Mooncat. I think this color is so pretty and striking as well. In direct light it just pops. It had this really silvery look to it while also pulling to a green/blue shimmer as well. In indirect lighting it really is just a bright silver color. Overall I really enjoy the color and I think it just pops on my hands.

In terms of the formula, it was great. I feel like Mooncat formulas normally lean on the thicker side but I think the formula for this polish is perfect. It’s smooth to apply and not thick at all. The polish was opaque in two coats. I think anything more than two and it would look very thick and a little off putting. But I really enjoyed the formula and the application process for this polish.

For the first polish of this collection, I am really satisfied and happy! For reference, the first photo is with just two coats, the second photo is two coats with a top cot, and the third photo is just one coat.

I have The Living Doll, Clair De Lune, The Silent Scream, and Hell is Other People left from this collection to try so I going to continue my reviews of them here. So far, even though it’s early days, I really really like this collection so far and am happy I made the purchase. It’s been a year since my last Mooncat purchase and even with the price increase i’ve been deterred but the colors really drew me in and so far I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
