Press on because of how it looks on your nail bed. Little too big
Late_Volume_6404 on
Press on, they look too big for the nail and are slightly in the skin at the bottom of the nail

Press ons. And it’s always the same sure give away: they’re too big.

The cuticle ends are all the identical perfect shape = press ons.

I’ve done my own nails for years. I get compliments and questions. I had a bad break and decided to do press-ons. First time out I get a compliment, “Those are gorgeous! Are they press-ons? Where did you get them?”
Sigh. They just look a bit *too* perfect.
The ones in your comments though… Those look a lot better.

The pink is a press on you can tell because of the width and the way they sit above the proximal nail fold.
The green is a mani, again it’s the bottom section that gives it away, you can see how the product is built up at the very tip of the new growth.

Thanks everyone (other than the rude b that said something about chiclets). I was trying to get some idea on whether press ons are worth the hype. I usually do my own nails but it’s tedious so press ons are an easier alternative. I was hoping they look as natural as possible but seems like it’s obvious they’re press ons. The green ones in the comments are natural that I did at home – wanted to give you a similar length/shape to compare.

Keep in mind that you’re asking reddit to scrutinize a close up photo. In day to day life most people won’t be up in your business this closely to be able to notice.

Temu press ons, they’re comically bad, sorry. Totally look like Chiclets or bad horsey veneers

Press ons for sure

Press on you can tell by how they all look like thumb nails

Press ons I can tell from the cuticle work and the nail bed they’re too big. I love press one tho if you clean up those two things no one can usually tell!

Press ons, they don’t match your cuticles freying

Press ons. Each nail is slightly too wide, so it’s sitting on your cuticle. Just file around the edges to fit your nail beds, and nobody would be able to tell!

yes 😉

Press on. They are too wet and the cuticle is not exposed as it should be if it were natural

Press ons. Pretty press ons, but press ons. They don’t quite fit the nail properly.

Press ons, because they’re too big for your fingers. Sorry.

Next time try to slide them a little under the cuticle for that realistic look.

press ons i think

Press ons for sure.
Too wide for the nail bed, too close to the cuticle, all the exact same shape. Not custom at all.
The nails in the comments are fantastic, though.

They’re way too big. Which makes me think press ons.

You can file down press ons to make them fit your nails better, and it will also help them not all be an identical shape.
The shape says press ons. The shine says real manicure.
I did those same glamnetic press ons for my honeymoon. They took forever to get off.
