I definitely get that. I had the hardest time photographing Fauve’s Hallucinations and similarly was trying to capture the coppery warm tones but would end up with photos of…yellow. It’s as if our phones are better at picking up the yellow rather than the reds.

LOL I thought it was just a glitter top coat and went ‘well what was OP *trying* to do?!’
I’ve given up trying to take colour-accurate photos TBH – or editing to get both the polish colour right AND make my skin look like a plausible human skin colour 😂

Have to remind myself also sometimes that my fingers are finger-colored, not a white swatch lol

Shoot in RAW format and it will be easier to change the colour balance x
