info: cos de BAHA is one of the most underrated korean skincare brands, their products are amazing! This serum contains 5% TXA and 5% Niacinimide, a really powerful duo for brightening PIH, and evening out the skin tone in general. Tranexamic acid in this serum targets dark spots, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. Whilst niacinimide brightens the skin, controls sebum, strengthens the skin barrier and also improves skin tone.

my experience: My skin type is combo-oily and this serum is sticky if you apply it on dry skin, however the serum dries fast and has no tacky feeling when applying it on damp skin. I have stayed consistent with this serum, using it at least once daily for around 3 months now and this has really really helped my PIH marks. My skin tone was also pretty uneven before, however it looks a lot more smooth now. PIH doesn’t fade overnight, so consistency and patience with this serum really is key. However using serums to target dark spots will not do anything to your skin if you’re not wearing SPF!! This is one of my holy grails, and is my go to serum everyday. I use 3 drops of this daily AM or PM, after cleansing ( as its recommended to be applied on damp skin ) and before moisturiser + SPF. and if you have several steps in your skincare routine, this serum is very easy to layer on top of others as long as it’s applied on damp skin! It leaves my skin looking glowy but not greasy, and it’s quite uncommon to find 5% niacinimide serums as most of them are at 10% which is too strong. I think people may have bad reactions to niacinimide because serums have it at a really high percentage which isn’t necessary, niacinimide is proven to be the most effective at 2%-5% so if you’re looking for a lower percentage of niacinimide, this serum might be for you.
