Pretty sure most of you on AB have already heard good things about round lab sunscreens, but I wanted to add my two cents about the lesser talked about Mild Up Sunscreen.

I have issues with very oily skin, and issues with the skin tone on my face being darker than the rest of my body. I don't like wearing foundation and even the lightest cushion foundations make my skin feel tacky afterwards so I try to avoid it as much as I can. Unfortunately I also find that most kbeauty chemical sunscreens I've used give me the same tacky feeling but I've been just living with it because there's no way I'm leaving the house without sunblock.

I picked up this Round Lab Mild Up Sunscreen earlier this year in the spring and didnt love it then, so it went to the back of the skincare cabinet. Now summer comes around and I gave it another try and realized wow it's really good at oil control. It keeps my T zone in check, and I like that by the end of the day, my face isn't shiny with oil. It leaves a really nice texture, like my skin but better. I'm not sure why, but for me, slightly mattified skin from using this sunscreen seems to hide issues like uneven texture and fine lines.

Additionally, the slight white cast from the mineral sunblock helps to even out my skin tone. The skin on my face is darker than my neck and the rest of my body, something that bothers me. I think another way to describe my facial skin is "sallow". It's dull, not luminous, hyperpigmented. I find that when I use this Mild Up Sunscreen, my face looks brighter and less tired looking. Keep in mind though, I think on skin tones darker than medium, the white cast may end up looking ashy/chalky.

While the application of this sunscreen is a pain (you really need to make sure it's evenly applied or it can be splotchy), I find overall the results are worth it. This whole summer I've gone foundation free. I just spend extra time applying sunscreen, use a little blush and lip tint and I'm good to go.
