(with the exclusion of 3 products – 2 of them are non ab and the other one is the haru haru cleansing balm, itβs just too dirty to showπ)
I am on a low dose of isotretinoin (10mg daily) and have been for the past couple of weeks. My skin has stopped producing oil at all so it is dry and also more sensitive than usual.
For additional hydration and barrier repair I use:
the mixsoon master serum which is very lightweight and works to protect the barrier – it is good but not particularly essential, however since it is efficient Iβve used nearly all of it but wouldnβt really repurchase,
beauty of joseon calming serum mainly for the panthenol which is really good for my redness – it is less thin the master serum though still not thick and is ever so slightly tacky but not in a bothersome way,
the hada labo lotion minimally since it emulsifies and Iβm too lazy to continue applying it – itβs very effective for extra hydration and provides a unique glowy effect
To lock everything in and for moisturization: I use the iliyoon ceramide to cream which is simultaneously thick and lightweight at once, it comes out really thickly but once it is on the skin it does not feel heavy – it is also not oily and has a bit of a velvet finish
For sun protection: I use the biore kids pure milk which is the first milk type sunscreen Iβve ever used, it is purely mineral and comes out very liquid as a true milk texture – it feels very greasy initially until it dries down eventually, itβs not really a matte finish it just dries down almost like glue(?) and feels very lightweight
Other:
For cleansing (sunscreen/makeup removal): I was used to removing everything with micellar water but I found it to be too drying now that my skin is not oily so I decided to use cleansing balms instead. I already have 3, I initially revisited the hemish balm and had tried it for one night – I immediately found it to be too fragrant and a bit irritating so I tried the haru haru one instead and it was generally inoffensive with the exception of some eye irritation (the formula is also not something I prefer so I will be trying alternatives soon but it is effective in removing sunscreen/makeup so Iβll continue using it until then – I believe it might also be contributing to my fungal acne :c )
Toners: I used the Torriden toner consistently as my first step after cleansing until I misplaced it somewhere. It is a very lightweight watery toner that is somewhat soothing and hydrating. I also used the Iβm from mugwort essence until I ran out but I recently purchased a new one so I will be using it again. It is good for acne prevention and reducing irritation and redness (also a watery formula).
