This community inspired me to finally start using what I already own finally and to try to reduce how much I buy.
Milestones & Wins:
- First time panning a lip product — I’m ridiculously proud of this! 💄
- Even got some baby pans in my contour palette (not pictured)
- Started writing the opening date on products with a Sharpie (and keeping the Sharpie in the bathroom is super useful).
Lessons Learned:
- It takes way longer than I thought to use a product 100%.
- Minis are a great way to try before committing to a full size.
- Use your nice things daily! I had to declutter a Dior foundation and mascara because they went bad while “waiting for a special occasion.”
- I won’t be repotting makeup again — the e.l.f. balm repot was messy and not worth it. I prefer using products as they’re designed.
- Cutting the packaging of the products I loved to get every last bit.
For reference**:** woman, mid-30s, fine hair (type 1a), light/medium skin that tans easily.

– The ordinary HA serum: like it, have used it for a long time
– LRP tinted sunscreen: ❤️ love it . my holy grain
– Neutrogena Clear Face sunscreen: hate it, leaves a white cash, used it on legs

– L´oreal Revitalif Bright Reveal Gycolic Face: like it, used also on neck and back
– Neutrogena hand cream fragrance free: ❤️ love it used it before bed during winter
– Trader Joe´s Hand Cream Guyaba: ❤️ like it, great price, smells nice

– Aiir Sapphire Hair Mask: ❤️ Absolutely love this one! Feels so luxurious and leaves my hair silky. I originally got it as an add-on in a beauty subscription box. I would repurchase, but it’s definitely on the pricey side.

– Microdermabrasion Scrub from Trader Joe´s: too harsh, used only on foot. Contains Pumice stone
– The ordinary Niacinamide: I have been using this serum for many years, now I am not a fan as I used to be.
– La Roche Posay Effaclar cleanser and toner : love it ❤️❤️ repurchased many times, they are my holy grail for my prone to acne skin
– Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water gel: it is ok, nice for summer
I will take all the empties to be recycled to the "Orange Store". The are part of a program that recycles empty beauty products.
