Skip to section you want to read about. I can be chatty lol. I haven’t seen many reviews on this so I figured I’ll just write my own incase anyone comes across it and is interested. For info, I’m dry-sensitive skin in humid tropical climate. I’m not sure if I’m dehydrated too, I’m just forever dry, haha.
Previously:
This is going to be a bit of story so grab your popcorn, lol. I had previously been using an American-branded moisturizer (Clinique) as my only skincare for the last 15 years (well, makeup remover, face wash, moisturizer, that’s it). Up until about a few years ago, prices started increasing drastically and I’ve been trying other more affordable products since then. Things would initially seem alright the first couple months but after 3 months or so, I can tell the new product wasn’t enough because my face would dry up and what not. So I would always go back to my American moisturizer.
First Impression:
Fast forward to late 2024… I got wind of the d Program brand because the lotion ranked #1 on @cosme. The emulsion also ranked high. I checked out the brand and it has a whole range of skincare, and found out it’s by Shiseido. I’ve used a Shiseido moisturizer before in the past. It was really good but I didn’t stick with it because the perfume smell was too much and the expensive price obviously. But d Program is cheaper than the main Shiseido brand line. So I was able to buy a d program trial set (lotion + emulsion) from shopee. Lasted about two weeks. I honestly didn’t expect much from it. Like most of us, I enjoy trying new products from time to time. But to my surprise… the Moist Care Lotion (hydrating toner) was soooo hydrating! and the Emulsion was also hydrating and moisturizing. I had only used cream moisturizers so emulsions were rather new to me. The ‘lighter’ consistency didn’t feel like it would be enough but it was. After I finished the trial set, the full size emulsion in the image happened to have been on sale for 50% off so I took it as a sign, bought it and have been using it since around March until now, and I’m still continuing to use it.
Feel/Texture/Consistency:
No fragrance. It’s a white colour, rather fluid for emulsion. Meaning, it doesn’t hold its shape, it will drip if you move your hand. Glides on face very easily, easily to apply, doesn’t dry face so you can even massage yourself a bit as you apply it. Does not feel heavy at all. It leaves a little tacky finish at first. I’m able to layer another layer on if needed but I don’t. No need. In the morning, I wake up and my skin feels matte but not dry or tight. I feel well-moisturized. Then when I go to wash my face, I do feel like there’s a bit of film on my face that gets washed off. After about 2 months, I can clearly feel that my face texture is smoother than before. It’s not visible to the naked eye, but I can feel it when I wash my face and when I apply products.
Something to Consider:
The cap is curved. I do my skincare at my bed so I have no issues with this. I just throw the cap on my bed. But my friend who does skincare at their bathroom sink sets the cap down like in one of my images and it’s an issue for them because their sink counter is usually always wet and it felt unhygienic.
How Long it Lasts:
So it’s 100ml per pump bottle. I typically use one pump for just my face. Twice a day, morning and before bed. Sometimes three times a day depending on circumstances. And it lasts me 2.5-3 months per bottle. 88ml for the refill pouch.
Price:
Full price for just the 100ml bottle is 1,100 THB ($34USD) but I bought it on sale at half off. The refills aren’t for sale where I live, it came as a set. I believe if you live in or travel to Japan, they do sell the refills or have different combo sets.
Other d Program info I found useful:

If you’re interested, I highly recommend the above official dProgram Singapore website because everything is in English.
And this japanese video…

At 9:56 there’s a really neat chart that shows you the emulsions from Left to right = Lightest to Richest formula. All of them contain Tranaxemic Acid.
For d Program lotions (hydrating toner) check out the chart at 9:30 in the video. Left to right = Lightest to Richest formula. I tried the pink one from the trial set and it’s honestly soooo hydrating despite being essentially like water in consistency/feel.

Please read the review in the post. The first image…They’re all the same product. Left to right… X is my first bottle that I finished already. Check mark is the one I’m finishing up, almost emptied. Circle1 is refill pouch, 88ml I believe. Circle2 is another full size pump bottle that came with Circle3 which is another refill pouch, these two came as a set. They should last me until at least February next year.
