The first picture is no makeup and the second picture is with makeup. The first was taken in normal day lighting and the second was taken in the evening.

I feel like social media has wrapped my idea of what pores are supposed to look like. I always expect powders to completely get rid of them yet when I powder my skin I can still see them. So are my expectations too high and warped on what powders and pores are supposed to look like? Or am I just using the wrong powders that are not in fact blurring my skin like they are supposed to? I also have very dry skin so that is also a cause for confusion since typically it is those with oilier skin that have larger pores. So it has created an all around confusion as to why my skin does not look like the ones people have online.

Your skin and pores are normal. This is just what real skin looks like. Everything online you see has a filter applied to it!

I have never looked at someone in real life and thought “damn their pores are huge”.

I think this is a made up problem from social media filters.
