I’ve heard this big in the kpop idol industry and a lot of people also do it themselves to help accentuate their own features. Does it actually work? Does it make you look better?
My eyebrows have always been an issue for me. They’re very dark, sparse and arched in a way I hate. I have very light brown hair but darker brows. I’m considering it now.
Has anyone done this before? What was your experience like? Is it routine now?

I did! I quite like it and bleach my eyebrows pretty regularly now. I have black hair, and I also disliked the way my eyebrows are naturally arched. I think it made my face look sharper? Anyways, I use the Jolen Crème Bleach every couple of weeks (whenever it looks like I need a re-up) for like 7-10 minutes and now I feel like my face is naturally softer.
Yes. I do a two step process on my eyebrows, bleaching them about 2 levels lighter and toning them to ash “bronde”. I don’t use any Asian beauty products specifically for the process so I’m not sure how much detail I can go into suffice it to say, it’s my regular practice.
That in mind, I think I can somewhat speak to the process itself. I only bleach and tone my brows every 4 weeks, allowing a full regrowth to avoid damaging the hair. Because my hair is naturally brunette, when I bleach it lifts to an orange/yellow color which needs to corrected using blue/violet toner. I use bleach specifically formulated for facial application and I use permanent toner with 10 volume developer. I might experiment with 20 volume developer to see if that helps prolong the toning. Or I might start doing the process every 3 weeks instead of 4 if it isn’t too damaging.
The results evolve over time because the regrowth happens quickly. The first week is exactly what I like, between week 1-2 I start to see “roots”, and from week 3 onward they sometimes get a bit brassy at the tips but it’s not super obvious. I’ve tried blue shampoos but they don’t do much, at least not compared to toning. By the end of the cycle I might use a spoolie to brush a little concealer over the hairs to brighten their look.
i have! but mine always come out orange so i tone them a bit with blue shampoo, sometimes i dye them a bit back with blonde dye if they come out too light, but if you don’t want the full commitment i’ve seen a lot of people recommend the Rom&nd – Han all brow cara and the Peripera – Speedy skinny brow!
