Just got back from a short business trip to Tokyo! I’m an owner many a micro bag that’s too small to fit a phone, and can barely fit some cards and keys, so I am always on the lookout for tiny makeup that fit my tiny bags. Was happy to snag a couple of convenient store items from Family Mart and Lawson, I know there is a lot of interest out there, so I thought I’d post some swatches of what I got and a mini review for them.

1. hana by Hince Shine Highlighter Balm in Champagne 2/5:
I had the highest hope for this one being a dupe of the main brand’s True Dimesion Radiance Balm and was left rather disappointed. The formula is more like a standard cream highlighter rather than a glossy texture like the Radiance balms. You can see the pigment and dewiness difference quite clearly in pic 6 a and the gif in pic 7. It also had more champagne shimmer pigment, as well as large flake type glitter particles that I’m personally not super into. The flakey glitter reminded me of the Fwee Glitz Stone glitter mini keyring iykwim. Personally not a fan, I wish they just blatantly repackage a tiny amount of the Radiance balm and sold it for a lower price like these brands seem to be doing with the lip tints instead.
- &nd by Rom&nd Glossy Bomb Tint 4/5:
This very much seems like a regular Rom&nd lip tint repackaged in a tiny size and sold for a lower price tag- which I LOVE by the way. This was a sheer MLBB shade that barely leaves a tint (swatch of Rom&nd GLT in 04 figfig for reference), but it seems the lighter/more neutral colors in Rom&nd’s tint lines are the same way. Still, the shade is a perfect everyday no-brainer, and I’ve been using it everyday since I got it. The applicator is the same as the Rom&nd juicy lasting tint, I can easily use it to overline my lips and apply all over my lips for color (I have small thin unpigmented lips). The formula does not seem to last past a meal, the product on the center of my lips barely survives a coffee, I don’t mind it much, since its fairly moisturizing on me, but not something I’d recommend for lasting power.
- hana by Hince Water Gloss Tint in 03 Mauve 4/5:
As can be seen in my swatch photos, it’s really not very mauve, more like a slightly redder/deeper MLBB than &nd Rose Bean. As a result though, it leaves a little stronger of a tint and the color lasts just a little bit better. The applicator should be the same as the Hince raw glow gel tint, with its leaf shape and hollow center, picking up more product than &nd but as a result doesn’t work quite as well for overlining my lips because it deposits too much product but the tippy tip of the applicator would then leave a streak. Not a problem for most people that don’t use their lip tints for lip lining but my micro bag has capacity issues so I’m not gonna bring a lip liner around with me.
