I’m a Mexican cosplayer and makeup artist who posts on YouTube, recently I’ve seen videos of cosplayers who use eyelid tape NOT to change their eyeshape to monolids but redirect the eyelid to make their eyes fit the character, tho idk if it’s respectful to do so!! So let me know your thoughts please

I think if it’s specifically a fit for a character, it’s fine by me. Every day use is a bit problematic in my opinion (plus it’s super bad for your eyes if you are dragging the skin around the eyes anyways)
Cosplaying is using eyelid tape for a specific fictional look.
I don’t find eyelid to be disrespectful in any other way? It’s not offending/mocking anyone?
As long as it’s not used to mock anyone or doing yellowface, it’s fine
