Softymo Speedy and Deep Cleansing Oil (¥700~), 9/10:
Oldie ,but a goodie! Love this, and will always default to this because of how great the value is: effective, non-irritating, comes in many limited editions (pokemon, sakura, osmanthus, etc.). It gets the job done and is easily available for me so I've been using this for years. However, I don't think it's so special you have to order it from overseas. -
Clayge Pore Clay Oil Black (¥1800~), 9/10: Luxurious purchase after the Softymo, but definitely recommend this if you're like me and you like fragrance in your skincare (shame! 🙈). Product page says it's "a gentle citrus herb (lavender)" scent, but this smells like straight up perfume to me, in a beautiful Japanese way. It's such a pretty scent, and it works really well taking off makeup without being irritating or drying. I only need a pump of this, which makes it last long, and it also contains retinol, cica and ceramides.

VT Azelaic Acid Cleansing Oil (¥2000~) 9/10:
I've only used this a few times but wow this is amazing! It smells so good, like actual citrus pulp, like you've just zested a lime, for a key lime pie. It feels great and works very well, gentle and non irritating or drying. I got this because I was curious about Azelaic Acid and this was on sale, but now I really enjoy it.
Because Softymo exists, I can't imagine buying anything more expensive that's just a "basic", "mild", unscented oil cleanser. But I'm loving these new oil cleansers that have actives, nice scents and more sophisticated formulations! They last a long time, so I think it's not bad to grab a couple when they're on sale.
