Hi all. Here's a swatch and short review of all the lip products I currently have. I did this swatch to dissuade myself from buying another lip product and thought might as well share here. And wow a lot of these ended up looking kinda similar to one another on me😅 (or at least in photos).
For reference my skin tone is light, cool leaning neutral undertone, Dior Forever Skin 1N. My lips are dry and prone to cracking and flaking. I usually prep my lips with a gentle moisturizing toner and laneige lip glowing balm.
> Laneige Glaze Craze – Strawberry Sprinkles
Great long lasting moisture. Color is very sheer with no tinting power but I really like it for natural daily look and use it for doing things around my neighborhood. Personally I find the scent a bit too sweet and fake but still tolerable. Beautiful, smooth, glowy finish that is very sticky.
> Amuse – Jel-Fit Tint – Sakura Jelly
Japan-limited color. Great color payout and tinting power with long lasting moisture. No noticeable scent which I really appreciate.
> rom&nd – The Juicy Lasting Tint – 03 Bare Grape (2025 reformulation)
I find that this is pretty drying on me but i love this shade. Scent is sweet, kinda like fake grape candy, but not unbearable. Upon application has glowy finish and quite sticky.
> rom&nd – Glasting Melting Balm – 07 Mauve Whip
A bit more thick than juicy lasting tint but moisture doesn't last either. Really love the color though and can be pretty sheer when spread around. No tinting power and no noticeable scent.
> barenbliss – Lily Makes Luminous Glow Tint – 02 Rose Glaze
Long lasting moisture. The only warm color that managed to stay in my collection! Color payout is a bit sheer but has surprisingly great tinting power. Sweet floral? scent that is ok. Taste is kinda chemical-ish though.
> Dinto – Blur-Glowy Lip Tint – 282 Cura
Japan-limited color. Has the best tinting power and color payout out of all of my collection. Sets very fast too you have to be quick if you want to blend it out. Unfortunately dries me out after a few hours. Has slight sweet scent.
> Kate – Lip Monster – 13 3:00AM & 07 Last Boss
Very comfortable, long lasting moisture with great color payoff. The finish is not too glowy or sticky, and no scent. Although the tint power itself is not very strong, i find this is the most transfer-proof out of all my collection.
> espoir – Couture Lip Tint Pure Velvet – Hazel (discontinued?)
One of my HG shade but isn't moisturizing and doesn't leave a tint. Mellow cake-like scent.
> espoir – Couture Lip Tint Blur Velvet – Haze
Has more slip than the pure velvet series and surprisingly strong staying power but will dry out and ends up settling into the cracks on my lips after a few hours. Mellow sweet scent.
My favorites are Kate Lip Monster > Amuse Jel-Fit Tint > barenbliss Lily Makes Luminous Glow Tint. They all have comfiness, moisture, and staying power.
Please note my pixel 6 camera has auto-color-balance that cannot be turned off and the lip swatch pics were taken across 2 days. Even though the weather was cloudy both days, there may be some differences in light levels and for what it's worth I tried to pick the shots that are the closest in skin tone to each other. I also cleanse my lips inbetween pics.
