On the left is bissú (Mexican drugstore brand) in the shade "cavernet" and the white is essence "sugar blush"
I'm such a makeup hoarder but 1 category I get through is nail polish because I stick to 1 color per season and I don't crave variety that much. In spring/summer i tend to wear pearl or milky white colors and in fall/winter i wear blood colors.
Bissú cavernet is a holy grail for me. I have 3 backups. I wear 4 coats because the color builds up from a basic cool red to the most perfect congealed blood color. It also tends to self level only at the finger tips which could be seen as a flaw in the formula but I love it because it makes my finger tips look like they're dripping with blood.
This is a forever repurchase.
With a topcoat this bad boy lasts a good week too.
Because I wear 4 coats i can finish a bottle in around 3 months.
When i get too low that i can't pick up product easily anymore I start a new bottle then pour what's left from an old bottle into the newer bottle with some drops of thinner (orly).
Essence sugar blush is just alright. I don't love essence's nail polish formula. If i don't use thinner they take a long time to dry between coats even when new.
They tend to chip in less than a week and this polish was quite streaky so I had to use multiple coats so I finished this in just around 2 months. Won't rp. There's plenty of nail polishes that look like this with a better formula. Their only advantage is the cheap price.
