UPDATE: searching for this color!

A couple months back I posted looking for dupe recommendations for peripera’s cool chat pt, and rom&nd’s bare vine/cheeky taro, and y’all delivered! I went a bit crazy on the ordering and thought I’d post my results and some thoughts. I ordered 11 new lip products – some I found on my own and some based off your recommendations (I already owned heart percent’s faded mauve, fwee’s lavender pink, and dasique’s lavender cream).

1. I have them labeled by their shade name and swatches on paper because I find it helps to see their undertones better.

2. is them all swatched on my leg (same placement as the paper photo). Photo taken with a ring light on a neutral (not warm or cool) setting.

3. is their stains after 5 minutes.

5. • 17. Are lip swatches with the full product names. Most have been removed on half of my lip to show their stain after 5 minutes of wearing, I did not do this with singularity, mauve milk, or strawberry baby Chou mostly because I did those first but also their staining power is meh). These photos were also taken with a ring light on neutral setting to avoid lighting differences day to day. I also only swatched 2-3 products a day hours apart so the stains could wear off and not impact other shades.

My favorites ended up being:
– LBR strawberry baby chou – I love this formula!!! I actually prefer matte formulas over glossy but love the look of tints so usually I just end up with a bunch of glossy stains but I’m obsessed with this VERY sheer cool toned pink mlbb shade. Will be a great replacement for a holy grail product of mine that was reformulated.
– LBR slushed pink
– fwee’s lavender pink – this one had the coolest tone stain which I appreciate BUT it tastes weird – soapy.
– Honorable mention: merrymonde mauve milk – if this was a more impactful stain/matte formula this would be holy grail status – I will definitely get plenty of mileage out of her but just not quite perfect.
