Quick story. I started using Au' Niacinamide + TXA serum and I'm super annoyed about the results. I had relatively acne free skin that I worked really hard to upkeep but I still had a few hyperpigmentation spots I wanted to address. Lo and behold, so many people were suggesting this serum and I was so excited to try it. I know that I handle Niacinamide really well, but this would be my first time using Tranexamic acid.
I started off light, using it every other day, and it was fine. No noticeable reaction. Then 2 weeks later, I wake up with 3 large cystic acne. I haven't had cystic acne in YEARS. I put everything down, and the after picture is the aftermath a month later.
Did anyone experience something similar? And if you did, what's your alternative for TXA?
