Hi everyone! I just wanted to share some swatches for some blushes i got as well as some initial thoughts (obviously just got them so cant speak to longterm use). apologies if the colors have some inaccuracies, i tried to edit the pics to be accurate to real life however it looks different on my phone vs my laptop so 🤡
FYI i have pale very muted / grey toned skin, leaning cool but mostly grey 🧍
• FLOWER KNOWS Shell's Jewel Satin Blush (#02 Moonlight Veil)
This color is a China exclusive color of their recent blush! Gorgeous packaging aside, I was a bit surprised as this is my first powder blush from the brand and it is much "harder" than other powder blushes I own. As a result it is less chalky (perhaps it is a baked powder? I can't see the info mentioning this on their website but maybe im blind omgg) however it takes a while to build up color (as u can see i've rubbed it in quite a lot already). You can have pretty good control with it. Once you do build up the color it fits the satin name – it has a shimmer that gives you a nice glow (kinda hard to see here). I really like how it feels like theres nothing on the skin when you apply it vs other powders. Also, sidenote but the purple does come across as a pinky-purple more than a strictly purple color on me! (Not sure if I'm allowed to link but if you are interested in more thoughts on the new flower knows collection, i made a vid here !
• MADPEACH Mood Mix Cream Blusher (Blossom Flush)
I saw this one at hemeko lab in seoul when I visited, but it was sold out! I copped it on olive young instead. It has a creamy, thicker texture and is a very pale pink that isn't too saturated. I think it's the palest pink cream blush I own. Not pictured here, but for reference it is much lighter and less saturated than the lilybyred luv beam cheek blush (02 innocent pink). I haven't had the chance to try more than once but I felt I needed to apply a lot for the color to show up. Despite this even just a bit does brighten the cheeks quite a bit.
• HOLIKAHOLIKA Tinted Milk Cream (#03 Hey Bunny)
I have this blush in the taro latte color and i loved the formula so much i got it in another color too! The color payoff is very strong – maybe a bit too bright on me but applied lightly I think it's still suited for muted skintones. Ofc nothing beats the taro latte shade though!! These blushes have a bit of a squishy/putty feeling to them that is really satisfying omgg
• ETUDE Heart Pop Duo Blusher (#01 Envy Pale)
Both of these colors really appealed to me and I'm haopy to say they are quite pigmented! Even the light purple shows up decently on me. It's a pretty standard powder blush, nothing special but also nice to use. If you own the sibgle heart pop blusher in the color squeezeberry, FYI the two pinks are very similar, with perhaps the squeezeberry one being just a bit lighter than this one (#coy)
Thanks for reading, and let me know if you have any questions!!!
