TL;DR: Perfect choice for irritated and acne-prone skin if you live in a humid climate and/or are very oily and don't need much moisturisation but need intense calming.

My skin type: Dehydrated, weakened barrier and get acne because of it

Climate: Mild, Central European, cold winters and hot summers but nothing crazy, though it's been unusually cold despite it being almost June

My review: I bought this cream on a whim on Stylejolly, I don't think I've seen anyone really talking about it. I've seen their purple anti-aging line here and there. I was actually looking for a cheaper dupe/version of the Dr G red blemish cream cause it was great on my acne.

Well let me tell you, this was downright miraculous for my acne. It calmed my skin down so well and I don't remember the last time I've been breakout free for so long. It didn't eliminate my redness/PIE, but I don't think it's really meant to do that. My skin does look a lot calmer, happier and is smoother.

The texture of this cream is a whipped cream that instantly melts into the skin. However, it doesn't really provide that moisturising barrier. When it was colder in February/March (when I started using it) I could feel it wasn't enough for my dehydrated and weakened barrier. It's much better now when it's somehow warmer, but I still feel like I need some kind of barrier.

Would I repurchase? Maybe not at this point. While it's probably the best cream I've tried in terms of it's effectiveness, it's not the cheapest (though not the most expensive) costing at around 15 USD per 50ml tub that doesn't last super long. But really it's because I tried a sample of the ongredients lotion and it provided me with that barrier that my skin very desperately needs, but can't handle in thick creams because it breaks out. At this point, I might get the serum from the line, though it's also a bit expensive. I will recommend this to folks with very oily skin or people living in humid climates, because it instantly melts and sinks into the skin.
