At A Glance:

  • All are long-wearing without caking, flaking, or getting heavy.
  • Each is designed for a specific skin type.
  • They differ in finish and coverage.
  • The shade range is spectacular for K-Beauty.

You do not need to buy every TIRTIR foundation, especially as they keep releasing more formulas. I'm sharing my comparison of the core TIRTIR cushion foundations (Red, Silver, Pink) on my fair, combo skin with fine lines to help you find the right one.

Details & Claims:

  • Sold on Amazon, YesStyle, and TirTir's site (not in stores).
  • They come in a full size or mini.
  • Red: 40 shades. Silver & Pink: 20 shades each.
  • $25 for 0.63 fl oz, includes puff and mirror.
  • Application: use puff, one tap, then bounce/blend. (Tip: Tap excess off on lid first.)
  • Puff is washable with dish soap and warm water.

Key Differences:

  • Red: Buildable coverage, brightens, glassy/radiant finish. The key ingredients are hibiscus and red propolis. For all skin types.
  • Silver: High-medium coverage, subtle dewy glow, breathable. The key ingredients are hyaluronic acid, birch sap. For dry and combo skin.
  • Pink: High-coverage, soft skin-like semi-matte finish. No ingredient callouts. For oily and combo skin.

All claim lightweight 72-hour wear without fading, creasing, or transferring.

Swatches & Shades: I wear 17C Porcelain in all three.

  • Silver: Fairer and best match.
  • Red: Slightly brighter, more yellow.
  • Pink: Similar to Red but a touch deeper. Once blended, differences aren’t noticeable on my face. No noticeable oxidation for me (even though some people say otherwise).

My Review:

  • Similarities: Blend well with makeup/skincare, puffs work great, formulas dry down about 98%, skin-like and lightweight.
  • Red: One tap covers half the face. Full glam look fast. Dewy finish but acts like a matte. Smoothing/blurring effect.
  • Silver: A few more taps needed. Lightweight, fresh dewy look. No blurring. Best for natural everyday.
  • Pink: Satin/semi-matte. Lightweight, near-full coverage. No blurring. Wears the best — almost no breakdown or sinking into lines.

Extra Notes:

  • Red and Silver can get heavy if you apply too much, especially on upper lip/chin.
  • Pink is basically foolproof — doesn’t sink into smile lines!
  • Powdering Red/Silver alters the finish and can get heavy. Pink looks good with or without powder.

Summary:

  • Red = Full glam, dewy.
  • Silver = Natural, subtle dewy glow.
  • Pink = Semi-matte, foolproof for combo/oily skin.
