Japanese sana under eye cream/allergy?

Hi all!

Is this cream meant to feel like a slight numbing sensation after application? I used it a few days ago under my eyes and had the mild numbing sensation and the next morning both eyes had an eye infection/were bright red with discharge!

Has anyone had a similar experience? Perhaps I just accidentally got it into my eyes? Or maybe this one I used is a faulty batch and it shouldn't cause the numbing sensation? Or perhaps I am just allergic to it !
