Hey everyone! I wanted to share a review of the Skin Aqua Serum UV SPF50 because wow, this sunscreen really surprised me in the best way. This is my second time trying a Skin Aqua sunscreen, and I wasn’t expecting to love this one as much as I do.

My first was the Skin Aqua Super Moisture Barrier Gel, and that one didn’t work for me at all. I have oily skin and live in the very humid climate of the Philippines, so the greasy finish of that gel just felt uncomfortable, especially for outdoor use.

    🌟 Product Claims (from Ratzilla)
    – SPF50+ PA++++
    – Water-resistant (up to 80 minutes)
    – Lightweight, watery serum texture
    – Designed for dry, sensitive skin
    – Alcohol-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, mineral oil-free

🌟 My Experience (Oily Skin + Humid Climate)
    – This may be marketed toward dry skin, but as someone with oily skin, I LOVED the light, hydrating feel.
    – Texture is super watery, spreads like a dream, very similar to Skin Aqua Super Moisture Barrier Gel and Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence.
    – No alcohol scent, no fragrance whatsoever.
    – No stinging on the eyes or face.
    – Dries down surprisingly fast for something alcohol-free.
    – Leaves a dewy but not greasy finish. It’s a healthy glow and not the sticky, heavy kind of dewiness. If you’re someone who dislikes any kind of glow, this might not be for you.
    – What shocked me most: no greasy film after it dries down! Looks dewy but definitely doesn't feel like I have grease sitting on top of my skin.
    – Wore beautifully under my non-AB Make Up For Ever (natural-matte) foundation. It gave it a subtle glow that looked radiant but still held up throughout the day. I personally liked the glow, but if you prefer a fully matte or natural base, keep that in mind.
    – I even wore it to the gym with heavy sweating and it still felt like it held on decently. Just a note: this isn’t marketed as a hardcore outdoor sunscreen, so use with care if you’ll be under intense sun for hours.
    – Another big plus: no need for an oil cleanser to remove it. I just used my regular gentle foaming cleanser and it came off easily.

    💭 Final Thoughts

I’m honestly so impressed by this sunscreen. I didn’t expect to love it especially since it’s meant for dry skin but it totally worked for my oily skin in hot, humid weather.

Compared to my other gel-type sunscreens, I actually like this more than both Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence 2025 reformulation and Kose Suncut UV Perfect Gel for everyday use. Kose Suncut is still my go-to for all-day outdoor activities, but this Skin Aqua Sunscreen is an amazing everyday option especially if you want something comfy, elegant, and non-irritating.
