    1. VioletThunderX on

**Skin type:** Combo, with some occasional dry patches around eyes and mouth

**Climate:** Dry and barren (think desert climate)

**1. Innisfree Nourishing Cream with ginseng and honey:** Got this as a bday gift in the middle of winter. I liked the smell and the consistency but after applying to my skin it felt really thick and heavy. I am personally a little picky about texture so I did not enjoy that at all. However, for people who want that type of texture in the winter months, I would definitely recommend it.

      *Verdict: WNRP.*

      2. **Judydoll 3D Curling Mascara:** Noticed this mascara getting a LOT of attention on social media and decided to try it out. As a disclaimer, I do not have straight Asian lashes (the type of lashes this is advertised for) so I wanted to see if it would do anything for my South Asian lashes. Honestly the first time I used it, I was unsure if I liked it. But it really grew on me! It prevents clumping and makes your lashes look separated and long. It also does not smudge and wears extremely well for 8h+. I layer this with a volumizing mascara because I like to add volume but even then I would say this is definitely worth the buy.

      *Verdict: WRP, HG.*

3.**TONYMOLY Wonder Ceramide Mochi Toner**: My quest to find a milky toner brought me to this product randomly. A lot of people say this is a dupe for the LANEIGE toner, but I don’t think so. I do think it comes close. The LANEIGE is not as viscous and has no smell. When I pour it onto my palm, it makes sense that it would be called a Mochi toner because it’s not watery and neither is it thick – it’s somewhere in between. It does have a fragrance but it leaves my skin so plump and hydrated. Also that entire bottle lasts 2-3 months using 2x/day. So overall, I think this toner is totally worth the price.

      *Verdict:WRP, HG.*

      4. **COSRX Ultra-Light Invisible Sunscreen:** LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I used to think the SKIN1004 was my favourite sunscreen but after trying this I changed my mind. I have tested this Cosrx sunscreen under makeup, without makeup, in humidity, in the dry winter – and no matter what specific climate or situation I have thrown at it, it has not let me down. I personally love serum-eque sunscreens because I have a big texture thing. This product is definitely like that, almost feels like a lotion. The witch hazel and aloe are so soothing and it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated. It wears incredibly well under makeup, sometimes I forget I even have sunscreen on – it is truly invisible. I am a brown girl and it leaves no whitecast, which is always a win in my book. Also it is only $8! I have repurchased this 6x already.

      *Verdict: WRP, HG.*

      5. **Pyunkang Yul Cleansing Balm:** Whenever I use cleansing balms I always feel that it lets me down in one area or the other – either it stings my eyes,it smells weird, it doesn’t work on waterproof makeup, or it doesn’t emulsify properly in water. So my criteria is a balm that is able to deliver on all these fronts. I really wanted this product to be able to do that but unfortunately it stung my eyes REALLY BAD. Although a little goes a long way, having my eyes burn and be blurry for 10 mins after I use it was not worth it to me.

      *Verdict: WNRP*

      6. **COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Duo Essence:** I started using this at night time in the middle of winter to make sure my skin did not dry out. Let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed.. Because  you are getting two products at once, you only need very little. This makes it extremely cost effective since snail mucin and niacinamide separately are like $10-$12 each, and this costs around $18.It leaves my skin looking extremely radiant and hydrated, and over time I noticed my skin texture and lingering acne discoloration has improved. The only criticism I have is this will be too much for any climate that is not dry. I can definitely see it being heavy and sticky in humid areas.

*Verdict: WRP, HG (for dry winters)*

      7. **APLB Retinol Vitamin C / Vitamin E Sunscreen:** So I got this as the YesStyle Glowup Giveaway product a few months ago. I honestly did not have high hopes for it but it pleasantly surprised me. The texture is great, it is lotion-like but not heavy. It does have a lingering smell but leaves no whitecast. It also wears well under makeup and did not pill. If I didn’t already have a favorite sunscreen I would buy this again.

      *Verdict: WNRP.*
