I prefer Korean sun sticks to Japanese sunscreen (although I love the J-beauty formula better) because I'm always in a rush and I don't like to apply milky liquids on my face when I'm going out. My criteria are simple: must be soft matte, double as a primer, and have at least SPF50.

What I love about Korean sunsticks, besides being so easy to apply, is the lightweight non-sticky formula. They work great under makeup and there's no white cast. They wear like iron and this can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how thorough you are when taking SPF off your face – always double cleanse, I say!

These are the best ones I've tried. My go-to is the Isntree hya sunstick and the BOJ sunstick. They're similar in formula and so so lightweight. For reference, I have very dry skin (because I'm on retinol) and the skin's on the mature side. The link features the ones that I think have the best formula.

What about you? What K-sunstick you can't live without?

    1. None. They aren’t cost effective, and it’s almost impossible to apply enough to get the listed protection without making your face a greasy mess in one application.

I don’t wear stick spf as my primary because it’s really not nearly as effective as liquid/cream. Good for midday office touchups and for the lips, but def not primary protection.
