I've tried many sunscreens before, but this one is the first of its kind that I’ve ever used! I have oily skin and the Philippine weather is hot and humid most of the year, but I also spend time in air-conditioned rooms that can be drying. I need something that isn’t greasy but also won’t dry me out like milk sunscreens do with frequent use. Biore UV Aqua Rich Airy Hold Cream is exactly what I was looking for!

    Product Claims

●Adapts to humidity – In humid conditions, it absorbs sweat to prevent stickiness, while in dry environments, it releases moisture to keep skin hydrated.

●Whipped cream-like texture – Light and airy, spreads effortlessly.

    ●“Makeup effect” – Contains skin-brightening powder.

●Contains skincare ingredients – Hyaluronic acid and vitamin C derivative (ascorbyl glucoside).

●Water-resistant and SPF50+ PA++++ – High UV protection for the Philippine sun.

●Uses a mix of chemical and physical UV filters for broad-spectrum protection: Octinoxate – UVB protection, Uvinul T 150 – UVB protection, Uvinul Plus – UVA protection, Tinosorb S – Broad-spectrum protection (UVA & UVB), Titanium Dioxide – Physical filter for additional UVA/UVB protection

    My Experience

●When I first tried it, I was surprised by the texture—it’s really like a dessert whipped cream!

●I have a light-medium skin tone, and this doesn't leave a white cast or tone-up effect on me. This might leave a slight white cast on darker skin tones because of the titanium dioxide.

●Once spread, it doesn’t look greasy like my usual water-resistant gel sunscreens. It also doesn't look matte like milk sunscreens. The finish is truly natural—just skin-like.

●The “makeup effect” isn’t about coverage but more like a soft-blur finish—like I applied a tiny bit of powder and then set it with a mist.

●It only pilled with Benzac AC, but with other products, it layers well.

●I tried it under makeup, and it works really well! It doesn’t make my base makeup patchy or interfere with foundation application.

●Since it's water-resistant, it stays on even when sweating, which is essential for the Philippines’ humid weather.

●Feels super comfortable even in air-conditioned rooms—doesn’t dry out my skin!

●Doesn’t sting my eyes, even with sweat or reapplication.

●Smells like the Biore Light Up Essence (light floral scent).

●My only concern: how much to apply—but honestly, I don’t mind using a lot since it’s so lightweight and comfortable.

    Cons

●I was only able to purchase this through a Japan personal shopper, so availability is currently limited.

●It's a limited-edition release, and I really hope Biore makes this part of their permanent lineup.

●Contains fragrance and alcohol – Could be a concern for sensitive skin, but the scent becomes unnoticeable after a few minutes.

    Price & Final Thoughts

●Priced at 1,400 yen, it's slightly more expensive than other Biore sunscreens, but totally worth it for the texture and performance.

●Would I repurchase? Absolutely! This is the first sunscreen I’ve tried that truly feels unique—it’s light, non-greasy, and adapts to humidity. It also works well under makeup.
