Hi everyone!
I’m currently on the lookout for a good soothing gel for my oily yet dehydrated skin and came across the Daymellow Houttuynia Cordata Soothing Gel. I’ve never heard of this brand before, so I was wondering if anyone here has tried it?
I’m looking for something that hydrates well without feeling greasy or sticky. If you’ve used this gel, I’d love to hear your thoughts—especially on texture, absorption, and whether it actually helps with dehydration.
If this one isn’t great, I’m also considering the Isntree Aloe Soothing Fresh Gel as an alternative. Would love to hear any comparisons between the two!
Thanks in advance!

I’ve been using it for face massage, it’s s a great gel and not sticky, very light like an Aloe vera gel 👍
I haven’t tried this brand, but houttuynia cordata is just another name for fish mint, chameleon, dokudami (Japanese). I find it amazing for oily skin (not sticky at all) and very calming for breakouts. Great to see it in the form of soothing gel. However, from my experrience, Korean soothing gel is not that great in hydration (that’s not it main selling point anyway) so it may be be enough as a standalone moisturizer.
