Review: Focallure Jelly-Clear Dewy Lip Glossy Tint

Now that my tan has (mostly) disappeared, I can finally go back to wearing this lippy!

For those unfamiliar, this is the **Focallure Jelly-Clear Dewy Lip Glossy Tint**. The shade I’ve been using (and loving) is **401**, a perfect muted, warm reddish-brown that complements my **medium warm olive skin** beautifully. It has a **fruity scent**—strawberry, maybe—and feels hydrating and **very comfortable** on the lips. Despite its glossy appearance, it’s **not sticky** at all.

Upon application, the lip tint feels moisturizing, but if your lips aren’t properly prepped, **dryness may set in after hours of wear**. Just today, I applied a thin layer of the COSRX HA Intensive Cream beforehand and my lips didn’t get dry one bit after 16 hours of wear.

Below are some **wear tests** that I’ve done before:

On day 1, I wore this from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm without any dryness or discomfort. The gloss didn’t stay fully shiny all day, but even after eating and the color faded, my lips still looked glossy without creating that dreaded ‘butth*le lips’ effect. The remaining sheer color also didn’t disappear further and it stayed the same throughout the day. However, on day 2, my lips felt quite dry despite reapplying. But then dryness didn’t occur on day 3, so maybe it was just my lips acting up, lol.

It also leaves a **very subtle stain** after hours, though I wouldn’t buy this solely for that purpose. It’s a nice bonus tho, especially since I rarely reapply throughout the day. I also freaking love the **olive-friendly shades** that it has. I plan to buy more shades of this in the future, tho I’ve been mainly repurchasing the same shade over and over again – now on my 4th tube of code 401 lmao.

This product retails for RM8.66 (USD 1.95) for 2.4g, which isn’t a lot, but at that price, I’m not complaining. I know some people may avoid buying products this cheap, but I’ve been using Focallure for years without any issues. It is also to be expected that sometimes you may receive a bad batch of the products you ordered, given the price. When that happens, I normally wouldn’t put it close to my skin and just throw it away. Tho this doesn’t happen very frequently. This only happened to me like 1-2 times I think 🤔

With daily wear, I’m able to **pan** 1 tube of this in just **1 month**.
