Skin type- oily to combination, dehydrated in winters, very redness prone and sensitive , slightly comedogenic but I barely get active/inflamed acne
Hot humid environment with dry, windy winters (but still with decent humidity)
Background – I have rosacea and I use tr€t and azelaic acid

    (1) Soon jung emulsion
    Consistency – light lotion type
    Finish – natural
It's 150 ml of a product that lasts me at least 6 months. I ended up using it for 8 months (into winter as well). The ingredients are amazing, despite being lightweight it was moisturizing as well and helped me with flakyness and redness. Never sensitized my inflamed skin and is very soothing. I even layered it under heavyweight moisturizers in winter to repair my skin barrier and it worked amazingly.

    (2) Round lab dokdo lotion
    Consistency – light lotion type
    Finish – natural
Now this has the exact same consistency as soon jung emulsion but it's slightly more moisturizing which I'm assuming is owing to meadowfoam seed oil (etude has squalane oil). Straight out of the bottle it's the exact same consistency but while applying the difference is noticeable. But it's not a whole different texture or feel. I do lean more towards this because I've realised that it can be applied in layers (as in the way a toner can be layered with itself). I have never experienced that with moisturizers, and it's so good at its job that I actually used it as a sole moisturizer in winters in multiple layers and it worked good at that too! Although on days when I had barrier damage I would prefer to layer a thicker cream over it. Similar to etude , it doesn't irritate my skin at all and is very soothing. I have been using it since April (although I didn't use it for two months in between) and it's gonna finish this month. There have been days where I skipped all other steps in my routine and slept with this on and my skin still felt very adequately hydrating and moisturized.
My brother who has acne prone skin has used both and none of them broke him out but he liked soon jung more which makes sense since his skin is oilier and soon jung is lighter.
I'd consider these two to be very good value for what they do and the cost per ml.

    What didn't work for me-
    * Neutrogena hydroboost gel cream and hydroboost emulsion – again, these are too lightweight and they are just silicone heavy. They sit on top of the skin and don't feel like the kind of products that actually do anything at all. Moreover they stung my skin when it was barrier compromised and left it looking dull.
*Physiogel ai lotion – currently using it and I purchased it thinking it would be a good replacement for my dokdo lotion but somehow it doesn't live upto my expectations. Despite having ceramides and Shea butter and being heavier than dokdo lotion, it isn't as hydrating and as moisturizing. Also leaves my skin looking dull.
*Cerave lotion- I don't even understand why it's popular. None of the people I know liked it and for me personally it felt like a silicone heavy product that leaves a matte finish but does nothing for flakyness and skin barrier repair. It's gone when you wash it off and makes absolutely no difference before and after application.
It's interesting cause both Neutrogena and physiogel are heavier but somehow soon jung and dokdo lotion work better on my skin.

What have been your experiences with more of more such moisturizers which include the reformulated soon jung emulsion (I've used the original one), torriden dive in cream, round lab birch cream and skin1004 centella soothing cream?
