Today I’ll be reviewing the Etude Sebum Soak Pore Primer! Described as an oil free, lightweight, long lasting primer, Etude really brought their A game with this product.

I have very oily skin & live in the tropics. Tried it on 4 different days so I could really test how well it works under different conditions.

    Pros:

    -lightweight & easy to apply.

-doesn’t pill, crumble, or leave a white cast.

    -instantly leaves a matte finish.

-lasts with 8 hours of wear.

-Reasonable price point (spent $17 I believe)

-2 pumps covers your whole face

-compatible with all 4 foundations I used it under.

    Cons:

-The bottle is weighted & a hard plastic, so you can’t easily tell how much product you have left.

-pump takes some weight to use (not a super easy pump).

-some minor break through oiliness on my chin after 6ish hours with 1 foundation, but not enough that a little powder reapplication couldn’t fix it.

Most of my cons are really nit picky & none are deal breakers.

I found the primer fantastic overall! Never had break through oiliness on nose or cheeks, just my chin depending on the foundation. It held up surprisingly well in humid conditions & lasted well under studio lights. My foundation would glide on with ease & looked fantastic overall.

Dont expect a drying matte experience when you apply it. The primer leaves the skin with a soft matte feel, not a dry one.

All in all, I’m impressed! I wish the bottle had a way to see how much product was left, but that’s really my only gripe. It’s honestly a fantastic non drying primer that works as advertised & doesn’t disappoint! 4.5/5 overall. I’ll definitely be repurchasing it!
