I’m new to doing my own nails and have very dry skin around my cuticles. It seems rough and the skin is very thick. If someone could point me to a resource or the right tools/products, I would be very grateful!
Apply jojoba oil on them multiple times a day, you will see improvement very quickly. I put Vaseline on them overnight on top the the oil sometimes if they’re super dry.

Cuticle oil for sure! I also apply lots of hand lotion throughout the day since it’s not always super convenient for me to have oily fingers lol

You can use a 240 grit hand file for the side of the cuticle where it’s flaking some, that will kind of seal the skin so it doesn’t keep getting worse. I would avoid cutting your skin, just push back the skin and apply cuticle oil everyday as well as hand cream. I recommend weleda skin food for hand cream and either olive oil or thicker oil.
