This was a lifesaver in winter when I bought and I was veerry dry . but also in summer I restarted my retinol routine so it also helped mitigate retinol dehydration. It's texture is as the name says rather watery and not sticky oily but emolient at the same time. Not sure about the claims , but I got a sample and loved it so much I splurged on a big bottle for Christmass
