I don’t think I’ve seen anyone review this product, and I get it—Dasique is more known for their eye and lip products. However, I really think this is a hidden gem. I didn’t set out to buy this myself; I just saw it at WCosmetics (a cosmetic chain in Australia) and picked it up by chance. And I’m so glad I did.
It is incredibly hydrating, and my skin feels so refreshed and moisturized every time I use it. It gives my skin a gorgeous, glowy finish that looks amazing even before I put on any makeup. I always use the Laneige Glowy Makeup Serum when I do my makeup, and though pairing the two products gives an unreal finish, I can actually go without the serum with this product.
What really impressed me is how tacky it is—my makeup sticks to it perfectly and lasts all day without sliding off. I’ve owned the Milk Hydro Grip and the ELF Power Grip Primer, but I prefer this way over those two. Milk Hydro Grip can sometimes be a bit too difficult to work with, and ELF doesn’t have as much of a glow as this does. Plus, you only need one pump to cover your whole face, so it’s super economical.
From the bottom of my soul, if you're looking for a primer that keeps your skin hydrated, adds a beautiful glow, and makes your makeup stay put, the Dasique Water Veil Primer is right up your alley. Never have I been excited about a primer because, in general, I don’t have problematic skin. But this is just amazing.
Overall, I’d give it a 9/10. I’m deducting a point just because, when I say you need one pump, you only need one pump. Even then, you need to make sure you evenly distribute it across your skin and not just concentrate it in one area, or it would get a little too tacky.
