Here are my swatches for KATE Lip Monster in #5 & #112! #112 is a limited edition color from winter last year.
For context, my skin is neutral, leaning cool toned.
Quick review:
Application: goes on smoothly. Does not accentuate my lip “lines” and is not drying. The tint lasts a few hours (after I’ve already blotted my lips too 😍), but the tint may not last as long if you eat a lot of oily stuff. Otherwise, pretty good 😎
Color: LOVE – I thought #5 was my perfect MLBB but #112 is even better 🥵 the slight glitter it gives is just cherry on top for me.
Overall, this lipstick has made it to HG for me. Although, just a disclaimer, I’m not a huge fan of expensive/luxury lipsticks so I don’t have great comparisons. HOWEVER, I have used Etude House Fixing Tints, Romand/Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tints, and Opera Tint Oil Rouge. I still prefer KATE Lip Monster over the aforementioned lip tints. 🫣

Just FYI – the reason why the last picture doesn’t show the tint as well is because I thought it would be a great idea to roughly wipe the lipstick away (I literally dragged my skin off 🤡). So uh… whoops.

Love the shades! What’s the finish like? 112 looks mildly balmy/glossy whereas 5 looks less so, but could be lighting!
Why do you prefer this over lip tints? Are they more comfortable on lip?
OP, I also recommend #6 (2:00AM) for us cool-toned girlies. I did a color analysis in Tokyo and it was one of their recommended lip products!
