I used to struggle a lot with finding a foundation that would actually meet my standards!

    1) within budget
    2) is actually my skintone
    3) can survive my oily skin 😞

I love using foundation compacts from TirTir, Clio, romand, and literally all other kbeauty companies. If it was released, had good reviews, and wasn’t too expensive, I’d buy it! I like them for their convenience and how easy you can apply them, but as someone who deals with adult acne, hyperpigmentation, and acne scarring, the foundations from the company were not high coverage enough to really cover my acne scars.

Don’t get me wrong, I still use them and love them for when I want to just do a simple no makeup look, but it was really discouraging trying to do my cute douyin or korean makeup and then it just didn’t cover up what I wanted and I wouldn’t feel as confident when I went out:(

Now that summer’s coming around, I was spending these last few weeks trying to find a good “everyday” foundation that was light enough to not make me feel cakey and oily, but also had enough coverage to cover my acne scars. For those of you with skin similar to mine (oily, acne scars, and larger pores) i would really recommend these two foundations!

    – Maybelline fit me matte and pore less
I know this is an American brand, but it’s too good to not mention. I’ve used this foundation before many times, but never really liked it until this spring. It’s so light on your skin (if you use light layers and build them up) and although the coverage isn’t full, more medium, you can always build it up. Super easy to find in drugs store too! So glad they still keep this foundation around:)

    -kill Clio cover fixer cushion
I personally think its formula is a tiny bit heavier, so make sure you’re using a light hand when pushing your cushion in the foundation and building up as needed. It’s a mix of a matte and natural finish on my skin and I think it has really good coverage for a korean foundation, medium to high coverage. I don’t use this when I do my full face of makeup, but when I do my everyday natural makeup for work I love using this! Just too bad there isn’t more a diverse skin range:(
