Hada Labo Lotion reformulation- They removed the Tranaxemic Acid from their ingredients 😤 Does this lotion give the same effectiveness to anyone who has tried it?

Or does it do nothing? Ive seen some here claim that this doesn’t do anything to their skin except adding hydration

Why in the name of God would they would remove the damn transxemic acid. Why. It literally says it’s one of the active ingredients:

Here in SEA, it’s always been Arbutin and I wonder why everyone else gets Tran.
Ok-ish $12 toner for what it does. I’d rather get their face wash and Shirojyun cream/gel.

[On Hada Labo’s official Japanese website for Shirojyun Premium](https://jp.rohto.com/hadalabo/promo/s-premium/), the ingredients list still mentions tranexamic acid (トラネキサム酸) as one of its main ‘whitening’ ingredients. Not sure if they sell a different formulation in Malaysia.

Is it version made in Japan? Rohto Pharmaceutical shouldn’t follow the Niacinamide trend 😢. My skin can’t tolerate products contain high percentage of Niacinamide. Even 5% Niacinamide broke out my skin. 😭

this is the made in china version for SEA markets, and the formulation has changed since last year iirc. you can see at the bottom of the bottle that it’s manufactured for the company in China. it has been quite a long time since they removed tranexamic acid from this version and i was heartbroken.
the made in japan version isn’t sold in brick and mortar stores in SEA for toners. bottle bubble facial foam and cleansing oil are the japanese made in japan versions, though — i have done extensive research between products made in china vs made in japan lol.
interestingly, the japanese refill packs (and i’m assuming the made in japan bottle version) of this premium lotion STILL contains tranexamic acid — see the photo i attached below of mine. i stocked up when i was in japan this year, which means it didn’t get reformulated, and get my friends to help me stock up because i find this formula very, very good. i bought the recent made in china reformulation but gave it away because i want to keep using this.
not sure why they reformulated the international version and not the version they sell domestically…
