I searched the sub and found some past discussions on HA, including whether it dries out skin.
But I didn’t see anything on these results [from Regimen Lab](https://regimenlab.com/blogs/labnotes/ultimate-humectant-comparison).
They looked at HA and a bunch of other humectants. HA fell in the group that decreased hydration in the skin.
Personally, I find this perplexing because HA serums and snail mucin (which has a lot of HA) FEEL so hydrating to me. Though I suppose that tracks with what I’ve heard about HA giving an initial plumpness before drying the skin out later.
