I thought I would share these magnetic eyelashes with y’all! They’ve been trending in (South-east) Asia for a while and they’re really quite handy.

**How they work**
Each side has two pieces (top and bottom) with magnets attached. You gently separate the two. The applicator has magnets that you stick each side on, and then you clamp them together (like using an eyelash curler) and the pieces stick together, trapping your eyelashes between the pieces. That’s how the lashes stay in place. They are reusable up to 30 times! The lashes are shorter than your eye length (you can kind of see in the 3rd pic) so it fits most eye shapes (since I have small eyes lol) but it might bother you if you like really full lashes (but I’ve seen girls with big eyes also use it and look good!)
To remove you just gently pull them off. I haven’t noticed any eyelashes falling off.
**My experience**
I’ve had these since June last year and used them pretty often. The livestreamers I bought from (on Tiktok in SEA) say you can use them up to 30 times but I’ve probably used them more than that and they’re still fine, but I think the magnetic hold of the lashes aren’t as strong as before. Also the magnet has broken but it still works fine.
There’s a bit of a learning curve but after you get the hang of it it’s very quick, I even do it in a moving car just fine. There are a few different styles but I got a middling style — not the most natural but not the most dramatic (you can see pic 4 for details of the lashes I bought!)
You can definitely feel them — they’re not weightless but overall not too different from wearing regular glue on lashes. There will be a slight gap (less than 1mm) between the band and your lash line; at least that’s the closest I’ve gone.
They stay on well: to test, I blew my hairdryer at my eyes — didn’t budge. Worn them in a slight drizzle, also ok. The longest I’ve worn them is about 6 hours, completely fine!
It’s much cheaper than extensions in my country so I think it’s pretty worth it!
**Where can you get them**
I live in SEA so I can get them on Tiktok Shop and Shopee, I’ve also ordered directly from Taobao because it’s cheaper there. If you have access to Taobao you could probably get them quite easily.
**WRP**: I’ve bought myself another pair (a more dramatic style), and bought my mum a pair (not arrived yet though!), my sis has bought one and also liked it.
