Idk why I barely hear anyone talk about Kaja lip stains, specially fig soda, but if you were wondering, here it is! While it looks a lot like almond rose, it is the better lip stain for a couple of things:
1. almond rose seems warmer, but the stain is your average pink you get upon applying benetint, and fig soda is true to tone. They are just as pigmented, Kaja just has a more natural color.
2. Fig soda last longer. I personally apply the lip stain, leave it on for 3 minutes and then wipe it off and go about my day, and Kaja is better if this is what you do, it survives through my coffee and lunch and a bit more, while Romand starts flaking on me when I drink water.
3. Kaja’s formula is less drying than Romand.
4. Kaja doesn’t have the fruity smell if you don’t like that.
5. Kaja is pigmented yet more build able.
6. Romand has a bit of a bitter taste, Kaja doesn’t taste like anything.
If you can afford the $25 dollars and want a more natural looking option I would opt for fig soda. I am an NC13-NC12, and this is my go to for MLBB, I liked almond rose a lot until I tried this one, I also use it as a cheek stain and it looks amazing, just add a bit of translucent powder if you don’t dig the glossiness on your cheeks.
I might buy more Kaja lip stains bc I think one of their shades might be a lip stain dupe of black honey.
