I tried to hang on to most of my empties but now that I’ve spread everything out this seems low. Definitely missing some sunscreens, the full size YTTP face wash, and a mascara.
A photographer I am not, apologies.
Mini reviews on some products:
Dior capture youth age delay advanced crème – highly fragrances, does the job as a day moisturizer, drys down fast. Wouldn’t buy full size
FAB ultra repair cream intense hydration – fast drying and sufficiently moisturizing. Purchased on sale. Not strong enough to address my eczema but if I was better about consistently lotioning my hands throughout the day it may have helped prevent it.
Butter London power up mascara – I had to invent a new method (at least for me) to use this mascara. It smudged no matter what I did so after application I rolled a q-tip on the lashes to collect any still wet product. I actually still liked the mascara and end result despite the extra steps/effort. Definitely liked it more than lash snack which I’m still working on.
Hourglass eyebrow pencil – I am not someone that has a crazy eyebrow routine. I really only color my brows in, so I may not have been using this product as intended. The liner crumbled and broke multiple times for me (and no, I did not have it extended further than a millimeter). Maybe mine was broken but I was only able to use it a handful of times before it started clicking when turning. The billion dollar brows one i have since opened hasn’t had the same problems. Nothing special overall and the benefit cosmetics gimmie brow+ tinted volumizing eyebrow gel is still all I’ll ever need. I really enjoyed the spoolie though.
Neutrogena oil free eye makeup remover – this has been with me insanely long and I’m glad to be officially done. Was the only thing that worked on my waterproof mascara (aside from cleansing balms/cold cream) but I don’t wear waterproof mascara anymore. Now that I use cleansing balm, the only thing I would use this for would be removing eyeshadow swatches from my arm.
FAB Face Wash – good morning wash, but couldn’t be my sole face wash as I wouldn’t feel sufficiently clean washing off makeup or sunscreen. For a gentle cleanse I still prefer phisoderm cream cleanser.
Pretty Vulgar under cover concealer in little white lies – with COVID (and now 2 children) I have been out of the makeup game for a while and am just getting back in. I don’t fully remember my regiment but I don’t think I was ever a big concealer person. That’s changed. I now have dark circles under my eyes. This is the best experience I recall ever having with a concealer. I plan to repurchase
Elemis superfood vital veggie mask- not sure what it does but I use it as an in-shower face mask when I wash my hair and enjoy the experience
Glamglow berryglow- really liked this. No complaints
La Mer eye concentrate – I actually really liked/was impressed/sufficiently pleased. Feels really thin and like you’ll need something additional on top, but after putting the kids down and going back for another product and touching my under eyes they felt sufficiently moisturized. BUT I would NEVER pay as much as they’re asking for this product (or really any other). Definitely not worth the price.
Bésame cosmetics ever after translucent pearl powder – got this December 2017…I do and don’t feel shame for still using this. I like powder compacts, so much less messy. This was great for mattifying and adding color/coverage for days I used BB or CC creams. Definitely not translucent and I’m pretty sure there would be flashback.
Item beauty lash snack mascara – I was really surprised by all the positive reviews for this mascara. It’s the only time I’ve found myself NEEDING a volumizing primer with a mascara. I’m all for a natural mascara, it actually tends to be my preference, but I couldn’t even tell I put mascara on. I will say, I took to using this on my lower lashes, which is not something I ever do, and it works great. The brush size is perfect for it and I haven’t had any smudging issues. I’ve never bothered with any other mascara I’ve used as I’ve been confident they’d smudge.
QMS eye cream – I really enjoyed it. Felt like a good alternative to the belief eye cream (definitely thicker) but I would never repurchase. Mainly because the price is ridiculous and even on a boxy sale I’d just rather stay mainstream at Sephora.
Neogen airy subscreen – my first intro into Asian sunscreen and I’m very happy with it. Creamy, moisturizing, and fast drying. I don’t think it’s been stinging my eyes (I only say don’t think because I’ve been playing with new products and switching between sunscreen that I know DOES sting my eyes and don’t think they every sting on days I used this one). Its consistency reminds me of a thicker Medline remedy phytoplex moisturizer (if anyone is familiar with that moisturizer…I received it post-partum at the hospital and it’s a new fave). I have a bunch more AB sunscreens to try out and if I like those more this will make the PERFECT sunscreen for my hands.
Isntree watery Sun gel – if this was the first AB sunscreen I tried I’d be really into it, but having used others, it’s my least favorite. It’s minimally thicker than Neogen but has the slight smell of sunscreens I’m used to in the US. I also feel it on my face (again, minimally, but now that I know there’s better I won’t repurchase)….I said that too soon. I accidentally repurchased it without remembering these feelings.
