I rediscovered kbeauty this year and this is my review of the similar eyeshadow palettes I hauled. I have a neutral undertone so I can usually get away with eyeshadows that don’t skew too cool or too warm. I have a fair-light complexion (Clio Mesh Cushion in Linen/ Westman Atelier foundation in 0.5) and these shadows show up well on my skin. These apricot/light peach tones have been working really well for me. I find that it brightens my complexion and makes my eyes look wider and more awake. I always wear eyeshadow primer, I don’t have particularly oily eyelids and these shadows wear well throughout the day for me with no creasing. The colours do fade slightly by the end of a full day of work and workout.
1) Wakemake Soft Blurring Eye Palette (05 Neutral Blurring – 12 shades, 10g). This palette is more versatile than the others as there are rose toned shades to play around with. A pity that it does not have a single glitter topper shade. It was around the same price as the Clio and Bbia Your Peach palettes.
2) Dinto Blur Finish Shadow (Jane Austen – 6 shades, 6g). Creamy, buttery matte shades. Great formula. It could do with a little more shade variation as it only has medium toned shades. It’s also around the same price as the other bigger palettes in this review so you’re paying more for less product/variety.
3) Clio Pro Eye Palette (11 Walking on the Cosy Alley – 10 shades, 6g). It is pigmented but there’s kickback whenever my brush picks up the product. However I don’t mind this as I don’t get any fall out when I apply the eyeshadow. I got this the earliest of the 5 palettes and have used it the most but I do not care for the brush and wished they could just remove the brush and downsize the packaging to make it more travel friendly.
4) Bbia Essential Eye Palette (02 Your Peach – 10 shades, 8.5g). This is a winner for me! FAVOURITE of the 5 palettes here. Blends beautifully. It’s got a good balance of light, medium and dark shades and 3 shimmery, glittery topper shades. The glitter shades also layer well over the matte shades. I’ll be satisfied bringing this one palette with me on a 2-week holiday. It’s got more product than the Clio palette and is around the same price.
5) Bbia Ready to Wear Eye Palette (01 Nude Blush – 6 shades, 5g). This is a beginner-friendly palette. I got it for half the price of the Bbia Your Peach palette. The darkest shade is too warm to use on my eyebrows and as an eyeliner blending shade so I’ll have to reach for other palettes to complete my eyeshadow look but the light apricot shade is perfect for my aegyo-sal area!
