Product: Flower Knows Shell’s Jewel Baked Powder in shade 01 Cloudy Blue

Bought in late December 2025, used it 3-4 times every week on average.

This is the first Flower Knows product I’ve tried. I’m pretty sure most people (including myself) buy their makeup for the packaging, and the formula itself is… ok, I guess. I’m not saying that it’s bad, but the performance is pretty much on the level of what you would expect from a drugstore pressed powder—I bought it on my trip to China at around 120 CNY (17 USD) with discounts and also got some GWP with my purchase. It does a decent job of blurring and getting rid of excess shine, but it’s not as finely milled or blurring as my more expensive holy grail powders. It also doesn’t offer “long-lasting” oil control, despite what the official product page claims. I don’t expect it to last under heat and/or humidity, either. IMO it’s best used as a lightweight finishing powder and touch-ups throughout the day.

The packaging is definitely the best part of the product. It is plastic, but it doesn’t feel cheap or filmsy—it has a nice weight to it, and I haven’t experienced anything decorations falling off or the paint flaking. There’s a space under the powder pan where you can store an applicator, which is convenient when travelling. I’ll probably try to repurpose the packaging into a storage for jewellery or something when I use up the powder.
