I was putting in an order last night on beyondpolish.com and my order kept bumping up the s/h, so I decided to write some reviews to get my reward points up enough to earn $5-10 off.
I wrote a 4 star–please note–4 star review for Cirque Colors Notetorious. Very positive review overall. I noted that the base was grayish, not clear as described (which it is). This morning I received a response from the website about the base color issue. I had an instinct. My instinct was correct. I went to the website and my review was deleted. My other reviews are still up, so it's not a timing issue; they deleted just that one review because it wasn't 5 stars.
Receipts included. The URL for the product is https://www.beyondpolish.com/products/cirque-colors-nail-polish-notetorious-0-37-oz so you can see there is no review there anymore.
When are brands going to learn this makes them look WAY worse than simply letting reviews stand? This makes them look petty and punitive. This is the equivalent of authors getting on Goodreads to argue about 4 out of 5 star reviews. I could have given you 3 stars! I could have given you 0 stars!!! 4 is a great number of stars!!! Back off before you annoy your customers to death!
