I attached photos of what she said. Is it just me or… Do none of the swatch photos look like what I got still? Like am I crazy? I feel crazy. I still feel like all the swatches show a much brighter shimmer than what I got and way more of a green base.

I feel like some of the photos the owner sent you are better than the ones you had in your original post, but I still think what you got is much more yellow and sheer (considering you did 3 thick coats) than any of the swatch photos.
I think I see a resemblance in some of the example images to how yours appears. Maybe if you added more coats?
I will say that I was similarly disappointed by Sassy Sauce’s Dissumulation. I didn’t think the swatches represented the actual color very well, IMO. I destashed it shortly after receiving it.
I can see some photos that kiiiiiind of look like what you got, but they’re still not as yellow as what you shared. And you did 3 coats I believe! That should be enough for decent color payoff. Such a bummer.
Your nails are YELLOW. Most of those pictures are extremely clearly green, and the ones that are a little bit less green has to be because of the lighting. If you don’t care about possibly being blocked from ordering them in the future, I would push back. But I have a justice boner. You might wanna just never buy them again.
Yeah this is a very defensive response- your three coats are clearly yellow. It’s not marketed as super sheer so you shouldn’t be expected to have to use more than three coats. Would certainly not be buying from them again if I were you.
ILNP customer service would have replaced this for you in a heartbeat.
I think your skintone could be playing a role in how yellow it appears, all of the swatch photos are on neutral to warm models. I think they seem accurate enough compared to your photos. Lighting also makes a phenomenal difference and unfortunately most brands aren’t going to post photos of their polishes in an unflattering light. I can see why you’re disappointed but I don’t think the photos are inaccurate.
Edit: btw I don’t mean to sound mean or invalidating, I’m cool toned and I’ve been disappointed in a lot of clothing and polish before I figured that out. When I give it to my warm tone friends suddenly it looks right
Definitely not crazy, it’s definitely not the same. I don’t understand the point of the reply you got, they didn’t offer any solution at all. Are you gonna say something? I’d ask for my money back.
Is this polish no longer on their website? I wanted to see what they’re actually still advertising it as.
After seeing all these photos, I do think some are reflective of what you received. I do think skin tone can play a huuuge role in these light green or chartreuse shades. I don’t love the color in the first place, but if I had seen all those swatches I would have expected it to be a real chameleon shade. It does truly look like 3 or 4 different polishes depending on who is wearing it and how they are wearing it.
Okay, so I was on your last post and I am with you on this; 1. if you weren’t happy it would been nice for her to work something out for you to make sure you were happy. 2. You’re not crazy but I’ve gotta agree with the others, I think your skin tone does play a part as well with how the color is reading off. In two swatch photos that I have circled, they resemble more of what you’re seeing.

I understand you’re frustrated, and like I said I wish she would have done something for you to be a happy customer, that’s the unfortunate part of it. Maybe you can ask for a refund or even an exchange?
I think the most generous thing I could say about these comparisons, like if I were to give the brand the benefit of the doubt, is that your pics are… approximately on par with the worst of the swatcher pics (I don’t mean worst as in critiquing the swatchers’ photography or painting skills, I mean where the polish looks the sheerest and yellowest, if that makes sense.)
(Also, I’ve gotten a very similar response from a maker (different maker, but same issue) regarding a polish that was a washed-out version of all the swatch pics and I absolutely hate it when they say this… like, I have eyes!)
