SCROLL TO THE END TO SEE HOW IT ACTUALLY LOOKED ON ME. like the swatch photos vs how it looks on my nails… I know tips tend to show color differently than on bare nails but this is not even remotely the same in my opinion, and I did three THICK coats. it looks like mucus. and there's absolutely no blue flakies to be found in most lightings, it doesn't even really look green it looks yellow… vomit nails

Those look nothing alike. This was an HHC polish right? I dont know if theres customer service for that sorta thing, but if there is I’d reach out. I don’t have this polish from Sassy but I’ve never been disappointed with what I’ve gotten in the past. I know some blue flakies can be irridescent and turn yellowish over other thigns but I feel that shouldnt be the case with smth like this.
They must’ve layered it over a green polish which is so shady.
I kept seeing swatch videos with how it looks and thinking ‘yeah, that doesn’t look like the swatch photos, that looks thin like a topper’ so I avoided it.

When I saw your photos I thought “oh that’s just cause you only did one coat”, then I read the caption… That’s 3 coats? This is pretty egregious. Please let us know if customer service pulls through.
Yikes forever. I’d contact HHC and Sassy Sauce, if only to let them know you don’t love that there was such a massive discrepancy between the swatch photos and the polish. If swatchers used the polish as a topper over another color, that should have been disclosed.

Oh wow that’s NOT the same colour 😳 I would definitely reach out to see what happened. Yours looks so yellow with barely any of that blue.
I know colors are hard to capture on camera, but this one feels like it was either edited, layered over another green, or possibly swatched on acrylics?
I have really been starting to dislike a lot of the swatch pictures that are done on opaque/solid acrylics, especially when it’s a sheer polish so you can’t get an idea of how it will act on a natural nail with a visible nail line.
It doesn’t matter as much with more opaque shades or when they also include swatches on natural nails, but I’ve noticed a lot of brands doing this.
Between that and brands like ILNP having pretty unrealistic swatch pics, I’ve just about made a habit of searching here and in the discord before I buy something. Of course that’s not possible though when it’s a new polish or one that no one has posted yet.
Edit: just saw where you said that’s 3 thick coats… wow usually even my most sheer shades are good in 3-4 coats.
Just a PSA that anything with blue shiny flakies and glitter will make your nails look yellow if it isn’t dyed with something to combat it! The blue shine looks GORGEOUS, but it has such a downside. This glitter looks best in purple and blue polishes but has a really hard time in jelly polishes. It looks good over darker colors and green which I assume is what they did in those photos
Yikes! If you ever use gel, the Gel Bottle “Peppermint” is the exact color in the ads. I know they do lacquer but I don’t think they have it in that shade.
I see the blue flakes when I zoom in, I think it needed a opaque green to make it pop unfortunately the suspension color is not there 😩

I did get this one but I didn’t even really look at swatch photos. I got it because I saw polish with Rae on YouTube swatch it in her video. I got to see it applied and I actually loved it because it has that prugly, murky, “vomit”, lol, sort of vibe to it. I thought that made it unique. In her video she does show it in one coat over a green base, she doesn’t say what color specifically she used for a base, and it looks much closer to the swatch photos you’re showing. So, that is pretty deceptive if they aren’t disclosing that they’re using it as topper in some photos. Personally i’m happy with it because what I saw in the video is what I got, and what I wanted. But hopefully HHC will do something for you because I can definitely see where it would be disappointing seeing the polish in those photos and not really getting that.
