So, those who know me may call me a weirdo. They would be correct. I'm the type of person who has endless curiosity and will spend hours nose diving from article to article in an encyclopedia. Over the weekend I sat and watched two of the Rock Doves (aka pigeons) who took up nesting in our neighbors roof and frequent our bird feeder camera for a long while…and in turn went on a 45 minute research binge, learning about their genetics, habits, history, and physiology. Of course…this meant I needed to make them into nail art. This coloring and pattern is called blue with a bar wing pattern, which is just one of dozens of color and pattern variations. The iridescent neck feathers meant I needed to whip out an OG Tyler's Trinkets multichrome and do some gradients woth that bitch. I have pidgeon nails. This better take off, you heard me Hailey Bieber…let's make Pigeon Nails the next nail trend of 2026.

Oh I’m obsesssssssed!!! I love pigeons so much, I feel bad that we abandoned them and now everyone sees them as a nuisance.

Love it! Pidgeons are so pretty, i have such a fondness for them. My fav memory of visiting my grandparents is going to the pidgeon park and feeding all the pigeons. There were so many, and when they would take off as a flock just to fly back around..was so magical

Yesss so beautiful and they honor the pidgies! I don’t know why they’re so disliked—they have pretty iridescent feathers! They’re social and smart and have their own neighborhoods. They’re my fellow New Yorkers.
